Warrant Issued For Suspect In Service Station Shooting

Detectives have identified a man involved in a shooting that took place at a local service station and warrant has been issued for his ar- rest.
According to the Hills- borough County Sheriff’s Of- fice, the suspect has been identified as 26- year-old Elisaha Black. He is being sought on charges of aggra- vated battery with a firearm, and being a felon in posses- sion of a firearm.

Domestic Quarrel Leads To Arrest Of
WINTER HAVEN — A do- mestic quarrel shortly after 11 a.m., Sunday, ended with the arrest of a Winter Haven police officer. Witnesses called police after they reportedly observed a man and woman arguing in the parking lot of the Vista Del Lago.
The caller told police that the woman had a gun in her hand. When police arrived, the man had left the scene. How- ever, the woman, who was identified as Ms. Manisia Robinson, an officer with the Winter Haven Police Depart- ment remained.
According to the witnesses, Officer Robinson allegedly pointed the firearm at the vic- tim. Officers were able to con- tact the victim and when interviewed, the victim stated there was no firearm involved.
Officer Robinson has worked as a Winter Haven Po- lice Officer since November 2020.
Officer Robinson is on paid administrative leave pending an internal investiga- tion.
Winter Haven Police Chief David Brannan said, “We take any and all accusations in- volving our officers seriously.
“With the differing state- ments at the scene, we will en- sure everything is covered to solidify this case no matter what the outcome.”

The City of Tampa will hold its annual celebration of National Archives Week, be- ginning Sunday July 11, 2021. On Monday July 12, at 3 p.m., the city will sponsor discus- sions on Tampa’s history two hundred years ago and one hundred years ago.

Archives Week
LAKELAND — Shortly after midnight on Sunday, July 4th, Lakeland Police offi- cers were dispatched to the Mobil Gas Station, 1615 West Memorial Boulevard, in refer- ence to a shooting.
When the officers arrived at the scene, they located a 34-year-old man suffering from several gunshot wounds. Officers rendered first aid until the Lakeland Fire Department and Polk County Fire Rescue re- sponded.
The unidentified victim was transported to Lakeland Regional Hospital, where he died a short time later as a re- sult of his injuries.
Prior to the shooting, the victim was pumping gas when two armed suspects ap- proached him. The suspects
had just exited a vehicle that was parked on an adjacent street.
As the victim saw the two suspects approaching, he at- tempted to flee on foot when he was shot. The two suspects retreated to their vehicle and fled the area. Their identity is not known at this time. De- tectives are continuing to fol- low up on leads as this is still very early in the investigation.
