Teen Recovering After Being Shot
The teenager was located in the 600 block of 34th Avenue, S., in St. Petersburg.
Police Investigate Two Unrelated Murders
An unidentified teenager is recovering after being shot. The shooting took place last Thursday afternoon in the 600 block of 34th Av- enue, S.
According to the St. Pe- tersburg Police Department, officers were dispatched to the location after they re- ceived information about a shooting. When they arrived, they found a 17-year-old suf- fering from non-life threat- ening gunshot injuries. He
was transported to a local hospital for treatment.
Detectives said no one has been taken into custody and they believe the victim and suspect know each other.

The fatal shooting took place in the 3600 block of E. 29th Avenue, shortly before 1 a.m., Monday.

Detectives are currently investigating two murders that took place within hours of each other. Police believe the two shootings were not related.

a nearby hospital. The victim died a short time later as a result of his injuries.
In the second shooting, officers responded to the in- tersection of E. 17th Street and N. 3rd Avenue, at 3:26 a.m. When officers arrived, they learned that a man had apparently been shot.
The unidentified victim was transported to a local hospital, where he died as a result of his injuries.
Police said, although early in the investigation, these two homicides do not appear to be related nor do they appear to be a random
act.

Body Of Woman Found In Retention Pond In Valrico
A
Tampa resident was arrested in Gulf Shores recently and charged with sexual battery.
According to the Gulf Shores Police Department, said he met a woman online after moving to Gulf Shores. The two met in person and went to the woman’s car where he allegedly raped the woman.
Daniel Piggott was taken into custody and charged. He was released from jail with a GPS ankle monitor while the investigation continues.
The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the death of an unidentified woman found in a retention- pond in Valrico, Sunday night.
Deputies responded to the retention pond behind the Landing Bar and Grill, 4351 Lynx Paw Trail.
HCSO’s Underwater Re- covery Team pulled her body from the water that is known to have alligators.
The unidentified female did suffer injuries consistent with an alligator attack. How- ever, the cause of death is un- determined and the investigation is ongoing.
The Medical Examiner’s Office (MEO) took custody of the body and will rule an offi- cial cause of death.
