AIKENS
MR. MAURICE GARRETT
The celebration of Mr. Maurice Antuan “Dirty Reese” Garrett of Tampa, will be held November 28, 2015 at 11 o’clock a. m., at Peace Progressive M. B. Church, 2607 E. 24th Av- enue, Tampa, Rev. Albert Gallmon, Jr., pastor, Rev. Johnny Miller, Pastor of Friendly M. B. Church, offici- ating. The interment will be in Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery.
Maurice Antuan “Dirty Reese” Garrett was born to Ms. Tracie Garrett and Mr. Anthony Jarrett on June 25, 1986 in Tampa. Maurice was the first born child and grandchild of his family. He was baptized at an early age and educated in the Hillsbor- ough County Public School System, earning his high school diploma from Richard Melbourne in 2005.
Maurice was an entrepre- neur and worked very hard at anything he put his mind to. Maurice always believed that his hard work could not compare to the love of his family, especially his grandma and mom he affec- tionately called his, “First Lady and Big Baby”.
Maurice had a passion for restoring cars; it was some- thing he was very proud of along with serving others in the community whether it was lawn service or just stop- ping by to check on the older neighbors. Maurice was also a neighborhood “Big Brother” to the younger boys in his community. They re- ferred to him as “Dirty Reese” and would seek him for guidance in this “Dirty World” because they knew he always had the right ad- vice and listening ear. His big bright smile, wise words and one liner jokes could turn a
frown upside down, leaving you with thoughts of how to apply what he said and brighten up your day.
He also enjoyed going on out on the water whether on a boat ride or jet skiing and his favorite place Top Golf for relaxation. Maurice al- ways believed that nothing came easy and worked hard to get everything he needed. He will be greatly missed by family and friends.
He was preceded in death by: his best friend, Lonnie Mann; great grandparents, the late Johnny and Dollie Mae Brown and the late, Johnnie Mae and Albert Blocker; aunt, Joanne, and uncle, Bill James; and cousins, Demarcus Williams and Herbert James.
Maurice is survived by: his loving parents, Tracie Gar- rett and Anthony (Nikki) Jar- rett; beloved grandparents; his favorite person in the whole wide world his grand- mother, Clevetta (Marty) McHenry, grandfather, Vernindale (Rosemary) Gar- rett and grandparents, Phillip and Carol Jarrett; great grandparents, Vadie Gilmore, and Cleveland, Sr. (Kate) Moss; sisters and brothers, Clevetta Jones, Jerry Garrett, Seantinae Pearson and Brandon Jar- rett; aunts and uncles, Cindy (Markell) Carter, Vernin- dale, Sr., “Uncle Mann” (La- toya) Garrett, Adrian (Jamison) Ross, Cleveland, Jr. (Ann) Moss and Marvin Moss; cousins, EverKeyera Garrett, Reggie (Shan- tanetta) Flowers, Destiny Carter, Vernindale, Jr. and Olivia Garrett, Eric Ingram and Ri’Yana (Maquis) Mitchell, Shianne Simpson, Shardai and Shanyah Sallye; godparents, Darlene Richardson and Lillian Brown; godbrother, Vincent Johnson and Eric Howard; godchild, Lonnae Mann; his closest childhood friend, De- vawn “Mook” Buie; and childhood sweetheart since 1994 and love, Sierra Wimb- ley; along with a host of other relatives and close friends.
The visitation will be held at Aikens Funeral Home on Friday, November 27th from 5-8 p. m. The family will re- ceive friends from 6-7 p. m.
The family and friends are asked to meet at the church on Saturday for the service.

MS. CAROLYN BIRT MONROE
Homegoing celebration for Ms. Carolyn Birt Monroe of Tampa, who passed away Tuesday, November 17, 2015 at Tampa General Hospital, will be held Saturday, No- vember 28, 2015, at 11 a. m. at St. John Progressive Mis- sionary Baptist Church, 2504 E. Chipco St., Rev. Dr. Bartholomew Banks, pastor, with Elder Frank O. Gray, Sr., officiating. The inter- ment will be in Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery.
Carolyn Monroe was born April 11, 1938 in Tampa, to the late Elliott Birt, Sr. and the late Daisy Thomas.
Carolyn was a native of Tampa. She attended local public schools and graduated from Middleton Senior High School in 1956.
She furthered her aca- demic pursuits at Florida A&M University, where she graduated in 1972 with a de- gree in Education.
Because of her love for ed- ucation, she held various jobs in this field, which in- cluded: teaching night school at Middleton Senior High School and teaching in the summer for the College Kids at Hillsborough Community College program.
Before retiring, she was employed as a history teacher and cheerleader coach at Jefferson Senior High School for over 30 years.
Carolyn was a member of the Beta Sigma Zeta Chapter of the Zeta Phi Beta Sorority and the Eastern Star Organi- zation.
Carolyn was predeceased by her loving son, Ike Williams, Jr.
She leaves to cherish her memories: her loving grand- son, Corey Williams and wife, Kimberly of Atlanta, Georgia; her great grand- children, Kourtney and Cody Williams of Atlanta, Georgia; her daughter-in-law, Kelly Williams of Atlanta, Georgia; her sister, Barbara J. Birt of Tampa; her brothers, Elliott Birt, Jr. and wife, Velma of Hartford, Connecticut, and Otis Birt, Sr. of Tampa; her aunts, Margaret Cannedy of Tampa, and Ruth Collins Martin of Washington, D.C.; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
The visitation will be held at Aikens Funeral Home on Friday, November 27, 2015 from 5-8 p. m. with the fam- ily will receiving visitors from 5-6 p. m.
The family and friends are asked to meet at the church on Saturday for the service.

MR. RONNIE WILLIAMS
Homegoing service for Mr. Ronnie Williams of Tampa, who passed away Friday, November 20, 2015, will be held Saturday, No- vember 28th, at 2 p. m. at St. John Progressive M. B. Church, Rev. Dr. Bartholomew Banks, pastor, with Rev. Eric W. Gallman, Sr., Pastor of Agape Chris- tian Church, officiating.
Ronnie was born August 20, 1947 in Tampa, to the late Lucious Williams and Vera E. Williams Coy.
He attended the schools of Hillsborough County and was a veteran of the United States Army. He was a mem- ber of Agape Christian Church.
He enjoyed playing poker, golf and football. Ronnie was a special delivery messenger for the United States Postal Service for many years be- fore retiring.
He was preceded in death by: his parents; grand- mother, Lillian Jackson Wylie; and uncle, John Tyler.
He leaves to cherish his memories: a devoted wife, Jeannette (Williams) Williams; children, Louis Cofield, Jr. and Vanessa Yvette Williams; grandchil- dren, Louis Cofield, III, Malachi De’Jon Ellis Hicks, Ra’Vaughn Hosea Micah Hicks and Nehemiah John Gilyard; Christian grandson, Jacob Gallman; cousins, Harold M. Evans, Charlie Thomas, Barbara Jones, James and Twanda Woodall, Melvin and Janice Woodall, Lillie Hudgson, Gregory Woodall, Lional Keith, Marty and Paulette Woodall Ros- alyn and Richard Ramsey and Patrick W. Homegoing service for Mr. Roosevelt Scott, Jr. of Tampa, who passed on Wednesday, November 18, 2015, will be held on Satur- day, November 28th at 2 p. m.atNewHopeM.B. Church, 3003 E. Ellicott, Rev. Dr. T. W. Jenkins, pas- tor. The interment will be in Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery.
Roosevelt, Jr. was born July 18, 1962 in Tampa, to the late Roosevelt Scott and Ethel Hearns Scott. He at- tended Port Charlotte High School in Punta Gorda, FL.
He was employed at Bugs Exterminators.
Roosevelt accepted the Lord at early age. He was a member of New Hope M. B. Church, Rev. T. W. Jenkins, pastor.
He was preceded in death by: his father; brother, Li- onel; first wife, Sonia Green- Scott; and daughter, Jalisa Scott.
He leaves to cherish his memories with: his son, Roo- sevelt Scott, III; mother, Ethel Hearns-Scott; brother, Jackie Hearns; sister, Va- lerie Scott Cherry; wife, Tara Harris-Scott; and a host of other relatives and sorrow- ing friends.
