21 Savage Arrested By ICE And Could Be Deported
Bill Maher Made A Horribly Racist Comment To A Black Congressman
Both ICE and 21 Savage's attorney sent statements to E! News about the rapper's recent arrest. Dina LaPolt, his lawyer, wrote, "We are working diligently to get Mr. Abra- ham-Joseph out of detention while we work with the author- ities to clear up any misunder- standings. Mr. Abraham- Joseph is a role model to the young people in this country, especially in Atlanta, Georgia, and is actively working in the community-leading programs to help underprivileged youths in financial literacy."
ICE (Immigration and Cus- toms Enforcement) said they "arrested unlawfully present United Kingdom national Sha Yaa Bin Abraham-Joseph AKA '21 Savage' during a tar- geted operation with federal and local law enforcement partners early Sunday in metro Atlanta. Mr. Abraham- Joseph was taken into ICE custody as he is unlawfully present in the U. S. and also a convicted felon."

ICE'S note continued, "Mr.
Abraham-Joseph initially entered the U. S. legally in July 2005, but subsequently failed to depart under the terms of his nonimmigrant visa and he be- came unlawfully present in the U. S. when his visa expired in July 2006. In addition to being in violation of federal immigra- tion law, Mr. Abraham- Joseph was convicted on felony drug charges in October 2014 in Fulton County, Geor- gia."
Bill Maher is under fire once again for a racist question he asked a Black GOP con- gressman.
The HBO host, during his Friday (February 1) airing of Real Time, had on Will Hurd, a Republican congress- man representing Texas’ 23rd District. While in their inter- view segment, Maher asked Hurd why he’s a Republican, to which he replied: “I’m a Re- publican because I believe in limited government.”
“I’m a Republican because I believe in the rule of law,” he continued. “I’m a Republican because I believe in economic opportunity.”
Maher then followed up and claimed that the GOP isn’t successful at the politics Hurd

believes they are. “They don’t do that,” he said. “I’m just ask- ing why you’re a Republican? Because they’re not good at the debt, that was their big thing. You said limited government,
they don’t do that. They took over the Congress in 2011 and they raised the debt a trillion dollars a year.
“They’re not good at na- tional defense—the president’s a traitor,” Maher continued. “What’s in it for you? What is in the Republican Party for you? You were in the CIA!”
Hurd replied: “I was in the CIA for almost a decade. I was the dude in the back alleys at four o’clock in the morning collecting intelligence on threats to the homeland.”
And here’s where it went off the wheels: “That’s where you’d collect it, huh? Wow. By the Popeyes Chicken?” Maher joked.
People didn’t find it the least bit funny.

First Black Woman To Win

Filmmaker Chinonye Chukwu just became the first Black woman to win the Sundance Film Festival’s Grand Jury Prize for her U. S. Dramatic entry, Clemency.
According to Indiewire, Chukwu was part of an al- ready banner year at the festi- val, with all the four jury prizes going to women. But Chukwu had additional ac- claim in being the first Black woman to win the Grand Jury Prize — the festival’s highest honors, as voted on by indi- vidual juries — for her cate- gory.
The Nigerian-American filmmaker both wrote and di- rected the death row drama, starring Alfre Woodard as a prison warden struggling with the emotional demands of her job.

Bow Wow had been pro- moting a Super Bowl LIII pop- up shop for his mother ahead of the game.
Her film, “Clemency,” is a gripping death row drama starring Alfre Woodard. It won the festival's Grandy Jury Prize for U. S. dramatic entry.
“I am so thankful and can’t wait to share this film with the world!” Chukwu said on In- stagram.
Lil Pump Accused Of Stealing Sample By Portishead's Geoff Barrow
Lil Pump can’t seem to avoid controversy. The polariz- ing rapper’s latest issue is a dispute over a sample used in his new song “Racks On Racks.”
Portishead’s Geoff Bar- row, who created the score for the 2018 movie Annihilation with composer Ben Salis- bury, took issue with the track after discovering it sampled “The Alien” from the film’s soundtrack. Barrow lam- basted Lil Pump and claimed no clearance was given for the sample’s use.
“Who is lill Pump ? He’s used Mine and @Benjaminsal

“Just so you know we didn’t give clearance.. As 2 fathers of daughters this shit needs to se- riously f*&k off. I would of de- scribed him as a rapper but he ain’t Rakim & @MrChuckD @guiltysimpson are rappers. Fuk knows what he is other than an Misogynist.”
He added, “There ain’t no royalties to win here. I’ve done this dance before... but if we had our own way he’d be forced to donate all money to woman’s refuge charities. How can this s*^t exist in the same world as the #metoo move- ment and it doesn’t get called out? Utter bull*^it.”
