Last Member Of Organized Robbery Squad Sentenced
Woman Found
Dead In Home
A young Tampa woman was found dead in her home at 8407 Tupelo Street, on Sat- urday. She was 39-years-old.
The death of Ms. Sum- mer Hope Huckabe is being investigated as an un- explained death by the Hills- borough County Sheriff’s Office. The Hillsborough County Medical Examiner’s Office will determine the cause of death.
A native of Chattanooga, Tennessee, Ms. Huckabe was an active member of Ex- citing Faith Alive Church. She had been a member of the church.
Pastor Antonio Hawkins said it appears that she passed away in her sleep.
He further said, “She was a very faithful member of the church. She was involved

with the Drama Ministry, and she would help in any way she could. She was very pop- ular and well known in the East Tampa community.”
He further said she was not married and did not have any children.
Funeral services for Ms. Huckabe were incomplete at press time.

Last week, a federal judge handed down a long sentence to a Clearwater man. He is considered the last member of a violent organization com- mitting several robberies in Central Florida.
U. S. District Judge Eliz- abeth Kovachevich sen- tenced Shamar Lajuan Thomas, 26, a.k.a. “Baby,” to 35 years in prison. He was convicted during a jury trial in October of con- spiracy to commit robbery, robbery, and using or carrying a firearm in furtherance of a violent crime.
According to evidence pre- sented at trial, from at least April 2007, and continuing through July 20, 2017, Mar- ion Dwight, Jr., conspired with Thomas and others to commit multiple armed rob- beries and burglaries of sev- eral local drug dealers. During each of the incidents, they dis- charged or displayed firearms. So far, the FBI has identified at least 14 armed robberies and 4 armed bur- glaries that were committed by Dwight and his co-con- spirators.
In June 2016, Thomas and Fredrick James Bur- ney, Jr., a.k.a. “Frido,” forced their way inside of a home in Lakeland in search of narcotics and cash. While in- side, they held a male victim at gunpoint, shot at a female victim, and took cash and a firearm from the victims. Dur- ing the robbery, Thomas physically attacked the woman and repeatedly hit her in the head with his gun.
Seven others connected with the string of crimes have entered a guilty plea and are waiting to be sentenced.
Bradney Henry Mc- Gary, 32, of Lakeland, pleaded guilty to 1 count of conspiracy to distribute 500 grams or more of cocaine. He was sentenced to 19 years and 2 months in prison on Octo- ber 17, 2018.

Sherrod Raeshad Gor- don, a.k.a. “Hott,” 32, of Tampa, was sentenced to 29 years and 8 months in prison on February 1, 2019.
Marion Dwight, Jr., a.k.a. “Woe, Woe Money,” 31, Lakeland, is facing a mini- mum mandatory sentence of 35 years in prison. He will be sentenced on April 4, 2019.
Michael James Baker, a.k.a. “Bake, Maserati,” 35, Clearwater, will be sentenced on March 15, 2019. He is fac- ing a minimum mandatory sentence of 32 years in prison.

Antonio Marquis Roddy, a.k.a. “Lil Head,” 31, Orlando, is facing a mini- mum mandatory sentence of 35 years when he is sentenced on March 15, 2019.

30, Lakeland, will be sen- tenced on March 15, 2019. He is facing a minimum manda- tory sentence of 35 years in prison.
All seven of the defendants pleaded guilty to 1 count of conspiracy to commit rob- bery, 2 counts of robbery and 2 counts of discharging a firearm.
Man Gets 15 Years For Drug Trafficking Charge
A 39-year-old man was handed down a prison sen- tence last week. He entered a guilty plea on September 27, 2018.
Roderick Lamar Duval, of Bradenton, was sentenced to 16 years and 8 months for distributing fen- tanyl and heroin.
