Tampa Bay Healthcare Collaborative Voter Guide
To the Editor:
According to the Pew Research Center, 74% of eligible voters say health- care is very important to their vote. This ranks in importance right behind the economy (84%), ter- rorism (80%) and for- eign policy (75%).
Decisions made here in Florida can impact our health, including rising costs, barriers to access- ing care, and fewer re- sources for organizations that provide charity care. The opinions of candi- dates for state offices matter when it comes to healthcare.
The Tampa Bay Healthcare Collaborative (TBHC) is dedicated to promoting and advanc- ing the health and well- ness of vulnerable populations in our com-
munity. To raise aware- ness, its Advocacy Com- mittee has published the Healthcare Voter Guide (Guide) to help inform the general public about each Tampa Bay Area candidate’s proposal to address a variety of healthcare issues.
All local candidates for the State House and Senate were afforded the opportunity to respond to questions posed by the Collaborative. The Guide reflects the answers of those candidates who chose to do so. If health- care matters to you, we encourage you to read the Guide at tampabay- health.org/advocacy.

Big Money Ced Family Reunion Weekend
On April 12, 2014, Tampa and the entertainment com- munity said goodbye to one of its pioneers, Ely Edward Cedrick Jennings, or Big Money Ced as his thou- sands of fans know him.
Big Money Ced began his career as a DJ in the 1990s, and what few people know is that he was a pretty good ath- lete.
Ced played baseball for the West Tampa Little League, and was a member of Leto High School’s football team. He also participated in marching, concert, and sym- phonic band. He served a short time in the U. S. Army and played semi-pro football with the Tampa Bay Bulldogs.
Ced was formally em- ployed with WTMP 1150 AM Radio where he operated in numerous capacities, includ- ing DJ and music Director. He was also a faithful, active member of BRYCG Christian Center.
Since Big Money Ced’s
