Local
Meat And Seafood Store To Hold Grand Opening And Ribbon Cutting
BY LEON B. CREWS Sentinel Staff Writer
When Sonny and his cousin, Al Piccolo decided to open a meat and seafood store, they found the perfect location inside a building once housed by Singleton’s Seafood on 50th Street.
When that building was
sold, the cousins wanted desper- ately to stay in the same com- munity, and not only did they accomplish that, they were able to expand and become more of a neighborhood market.
On Saturday, November 5th at 12 noon, Good Earth Meat and Seafood will hold a grand opening and ribbon cutting cer- emony for their new location,
5012 East Broadway, or in the blue building behind Church’s Chicken and Salem’s Gyros.
Offering better quality than the meat stores as well as better prices than the supermarkets, Sonny said at their new loca- tion, they are now able to better display their products.
“The advantage of shopping with us is the consumer gets to see everything the wholesaler and producers see when they put the product on the market.
“In addition to great prices, we have no membership re- quirements, and we’re happy to be able to offer our products at wholesale prices. We owe our success to our loyal customers, and we are happy to serve every- one.”
Sonny said one of their sig- nature items is a variety of crabs they sell, as well as their famous “Crab Zilla.”
“We have a full line of seafood products as well as beef, chicken, and other meats. We also have a steak lover’s package that’s one of our signature items.”
The community is invited to come out and take part in the ribbon cutting and grand open- ing ceremony.
