Top Teens Of America Meet And Greet Energizes Chapter
The Top Teens of America Tampa Bay West Central Florida Chapter, sponsored by Top Ladies of Distinction, In- corporated, was an enthusias- tic group that energized the adult ladies when they met re- cently. They greeted their new advisors, Lady Carolyn H. Wilson, Lady Melvia B. Green and Lady Vernice Jenkins, TLOD Mentors, parents and guests for their first meeting of the fiscal year.
The meeting was held Sat- urday, September 24, 2016 at the Children’s Board. Teen Tyrone James, President, exhibited excitement when he took the gravel - presented by Lady Melvia B. Green (re- tired Judge), Assistant TTA Advisor - initiating the open- ing ceremony for TTA mem- bers only.

The guest speakers for the meeting were: Lady Carolyn H. Wilson – TTA Advisor – who provided an overview of the goals and objectives for 2016-2017; Lady Vernice Jenkins – Assistant TTA Ad- visor – who provided informa- tion for wearing appeal; and Ms. Pam Stokes – Thir- teenth Circuit Teen Court Counselor – who presented in- formation about Teen Court.
Teen Tyrone James ac- knowledged everyone for their presence and participation.

speaker, Teen Court Coun- selor, 13th Judicial Circuit, with the bouquet of flowers she was presented, and Lord Joseph Green.
Special recognition was ex- tended to the 2016-2017 TLOD Mentors and Ms. Stokes, who were presented with a floral arrangement.
The purpose for Top Teens of America is to encourage high academic scholarship, de- velop social graces, leadership and fellowship abilities, de- velop pride in self, home and community, encourage partic- ipation in workshops, which address current trends, work collaboratively with other or- ganizations to reach mutual goals, develop deep concern for Top Teens, Senior Citizens, Status of Women, Community Beautification, Community Partnerships and encourage appreciation for ethnic and cultural heritage.
