Girls Raised In The South Hosted 6th Annual Ultimate Guys Chicken Wing Cook-Off Charity Fundraiser
On Saturday, September 24, 2016, The Girls Raised In The South (GRITS) held their 6th An- nual “Ultimate Guys Chicken Wing Cook-Off Charity Fundraiser.” The event, held at the University Of South Florida College Of Education, was a huge success. Guests were enter- tained with sultry jazz sounds by saxophonist Marlon Boone and The Jamming DJ Eric Myers while dining on unlim- ited chicken wings, wine tasting and plenty of side dishes. Busi- nessmen from the community were asked to prepare their best chicken wings that were judged by certified chefs and the peo- ple’s choice award was chosen by guests in attendance.
This event marked the contin- ued work of the Girls Raised in the South Incorporated, which was formed in July 1998.

BBQ Wings as the 1st place win- ner. The People’s Choice Award went to Larry Williams’ - Sweet & Spicy Smoked Wings.
