Dallas Cowboys quarter- back Dak Prescott is push- ing back against reports that he violated social distancing guidelines by hosting a party at his home.
Prescott and Ezekiel Elliott were present at a re- ported party for a friend’s birthday that witnesses said had over 30 people present, well over the recommended limit of ten people per gath- ering. Prescott, however, characterized the gathering as a “home dinner” with fewer than ten people pres-

ent in a statement defending his actions.
Prescott and Elliott were chastised by manage-
ment for their actions, so it’s clear that the organization isn’t happy no matter what happened.
Prescott is clearly dis- puting the reported version of events. Given the health situation nationally and the expectations placed on pro athletes like Prescott, though, he’d probably be bet- ter off avoiding gatherings like this even if he’s telling the truth about fewer than ten people being present. It’s just not a good look for him or anyone associated with it.
Jayson Tatum Says He Has Not Picked Up A Basketball Since Celtics’ Last Game
If Jayson Tatum is any indication, NBA players may need a significant amount of time to get back into playing shape if and when the season can resume.
The Boston Celtics for- ward said Monday on ESPN’s “The Jump” that he has not been able to pick up a basketball since the team’s last game.

Tatum also added that he thought about getting a hoop but decided that Boston weather was not con- ducive to outdoor workouts, per Jay King of The Ath- letic.
The Celtics last played over a month ago, defeating the Pacers in Indiana on March 10. Tatum, who was averaging 23.6 points and 7.1 rebounds per game when the season was suspended, scored a team-high 30 in the contest.
The NBA is reportedly trying to assemble a 25-day “back to basketball” plan, but Tatum’s case illustrates one of the concerns with a quick return to play.
