Michael Thomas, Saints Agree To Record-Setting Contract; 5-Year, $100M Deal
Serena Williams is having a red-hot summer.
The 37-year-old tennis champ, who launched her namesake clothing line last year, has doubled down on her brand’s inclusive mission by designing a scarlet twist- front midi dress ($120) meant “for everybody and every body.”
In a video she shared on Instagram over the weekend,
Williams modeled the look alongside a handful of women of different body types to demonstrate how it fits and flatters a wide variety of shapes and sizes.
It seems the piece was a hit with the other models; one quipped that it made her “feel spicy like a jalapeño,” while another noted it made her “confident in [her] curves.”
From Ravens
Michael Thomas has not been at the early part of training camp with the New Orleans Saints, but the star wide receiver is expected to show up to work on Wednes- day with a great big smile on his face.
Thomas and the Saints have reportedly agreed to a five-year, $100 million con- tract extension. The deal makes him the highest-paid
Michael Irvin Went Ballistic On Stephen A. Smith During Ezekiel Elliott Debate
MICHAEL IRVIN AND STEPHEN A. SMITH
It can’t be particularly fun to have Michael Irvin yelling at you about the news of the day, and to judge by Stephen A. Smith, it might just be scary as all hell.
During a routine “First Take” segment in which the two were arguing over Ezekiel Elliott’s holdout from Cow- boys training camp, Irvin be- came even more animated than normal, raising his voice and getting out of his chair to make his point while referencing Dal- las owner Jerry Jones.
While he was doing that, Stephen A. looked downright terrified.
“You’re missing the point here. It ain’t just dollars, it’s egos that rises the billionaire to the billionaire!” Irvin yelled. “Yes, they got the money, that’s why they went and bought the team. And the one thing they want to do more than anything is run around the other billion- aires and say, ‘I beat you!’ (If) Zeke can give them a title, you’re gonna tell Robert Kraft, ‘I beat you!’ You’re gonna tell all those other own- ers.”
MICHAEL THOMAS
receiver in NFL history by a fairly wide margin.
Thomas had been seek- ing an annual salary of $20 million from the start, and the Saints feel he deserves it.
Odell Beckham, Jr. was previously the highest-paid receiver in the NFL in terms of average annual salary at $18 million, so the deal Thomas signed will likely reset the market.
Josh Johnson
  Turned Down Offer
The Baltimore Ravens will have to look elsewhere for quarterback insurance after Josh Johnson turned down an offer from the team.
The Ravens brought the veteran quarterback in for a workout after an injury to reg- ular backup Robert Griffin, III, and were impressed enough to offer Johnson a contract. Based on the expec- tation that Griffin will be able to return to his backup

role around the start of the season, however, Johnson turned them down.
   Kevin Garnett Ordered
 To Pay Estranged Wife
$100K A Month In
Child/Spousal Support
Former NBA star Kevin Garnett has been ordered to pay estranged wife Brandi Garnett $100,000 a month in child and spousal support. According to The Blast, this order is only in effect until they reach a permanent deal.
Brandi filed for divorce earlier this year — seeking physical custody of their two kids. In his response to her fil- ing, Kevin asked for joint legal and physical custody of the children. He also asked the court to terminate spousal support, citing a prenup the former couple signed a month

before the marriage.
Brandi is fighting the
prenup, calling it “uncon- scionable” because it states that “almost everything would be his” and she would only re- ceive “an initial payment of S500,000 or $1M.”
