City Of Tampa Solid Waste Department Revises Collection Schedule For Christmas Holiday
Hillsborough Commissioners Seek Applications For Citizen Boards And Councils
City of Tampa offices will be closed on Friday, Decem- ber 23, 2016 and Monday, December 26, 2016 in obser- vance of Christmas. As a re- sult, customers scheduled for collection service or needing access to the McKay Bay Transfer Station will be af- fected. The revised holiday collection schedule is as fol- lows:
Residential accounts:
Normal service collection on Friday, December 23, 2016 and Monday, De- cember 26, 2016.
Commercial ac- counts: Normal service collection on Friday, De- cember 23, 2016, Satur- day, December 24, 2016 and Monday, December 26, 2016.
McKay Bay Transfer Station and Scale House will run a modified schedule on Friday, December 23, 2016, closing at 3 p. m. The facility will be closed on Sat- urday, December 24, 2016. Normal service schedule will resume on Monday, Decem- ber 26, 2016.
The City of Tampa Christ- mas tree collection service will run Monday, December 26, 2016 through Friday, January 6, 2017. Residents are asked to remove all deco- rations and lights, cut tree limbs to four feet lengths, bundle, and place at curbside on their regularly scheduled yard waste collection day.

Hillsborough County Commissioners are seeking residents to serve on several County citizen advisory boards and councils. Resi- dents interested in seeking appointment must reside in and be registered voters in Hillsborough County. These are voluntary positions and members serve without com- pensation.
Applicants may apply to more than one board, but may only serve on one board at a time unless specifically approved by the BOCC. All applicants must submit a completed Questionnaire for County Appointments and a Standards of Conduct form. Incomplete applications will not be considered. There are also other requirements.
The deadline to apply is January 12, 2017. Ap- pointments will be scheduled for a meeting of the Board of County Commissioners in February 2017.

Kennedy Blvd. in downtown Tampa; by calling the Boards and Councils Coordinator at 813-272-5826; or on the County’s website at: www.HillsboroughCounty.or g. Click on the “Government” link on the top of the page, then the “Boards and Com- mittees” sublink.
All forms must be signed and dated and be completed in entirety to be eligible. Both forms must be submitted in order for the application package to be complete. Additional directions for submission are listed on the questionnaire.
If you apply to a board that requires a background check, you must also submit a Back- ground Investigation Disclo- sure and Authorization form, which is also on the webpage listed above.
