John Wall led the Washington Wizards to the second round of the playoffs but wasn't satisfied with the overall season following Monday's 115-105 loss to the Boston Celtics in Game 7 of their series.
Wall was likely disap- pointed with his own per- formance during Game 7 considering he shot just 8-of- 23 from the field and 1-of-8 from three-point range on his way to 18 points, 11 as- sists and seven rebounds. Teammate Bradley Beal was much more efficient with 38 points on 12-of-22 shoot-
ing.Still, Wall hit the game- winning three in Game 6 to force Monday's contest and averaged 25.1 points per game during the series.

Joel Embiid Says 76ers Will Win Next Year
JOEL EMBIID
Joel Embiid represented the Philadelphia 76ers on the dais Tuesday night at the NBA draft lottery, and the big man exuded optimism after his squad exercised swap rights with the Sacramento Kings to snare the No. 3 overall pick.
"We're gearing up at the right time," he said, according to the Philadelphia Inquirer's Mike Sielski. "When we start getting good, that’s when Cleveland and [LeBron] will start going down."
Embiid added that he en- visions the Sixers competing in the playoffs as soon as the 2017-18 season.
"When I say we are going to be ready to win when the Cavs are going down, that doesn't mean, like, five years," he said, per Sielski. "Next year I think we are going to be ready to win."

guard, especially since Wash- ington's bench managed a
whopping five total points in Game 7 and couldn't sustain any momentum whenever its starters seized it.
The Kentucky product may not be satisfied with the season because his team failed to make the Eastern Conference Finals, but he reached his fourth straight All-Star Game and posted ca- reer-best marks of 23.1 points and 10.7 assists per game.

Isaiah Thomas and the Boston Celtics noted on Monday night that they would be underdogs against the Cleveland Cavaliers in their upcoming Eastern Con- ference finals matchup.
The Westgate Las Vegas SuperBook agrees.
"They didn't give us a chance [against the Wiz- ards]," Thomas said after Boston's Game 7 win over the Washington Wizards. "They didn't give us a chance when we were down 2-0 to Chicago. ... They don't ever give us a chance, and we just keep going; we don't care about what others say."
The Celtics opened up as +425 underdogs to win the series at Westgate, with the Cavaliers as -550 favorites.

The Cavaliers come into the series well rested, as they haven't played a game since May 7.
Boston is also a 40-1 long shot to win this year's NBA title, while Cleveland has 5-2 odds. The series begins Wednesday evening, with the Cavaliers favored by 3.5 points in Boston.
Houston Rockets super- star point guard James Harden has reportedly been sued by Moses Malone, Jr., who is the son of NBA legend Moses Malone.
On Monday, Isiah Carey of Fox 26 in Houston re- ported Malone, Jr. filed a suit which "alleges Harden paid a group of people $20,000 in cash to attack and rob Malone at V-Live strip club last year."
The suit says Harden was upset Malone, Jr. criti- cized the Rockets guard's de- cision to charge children for a basketball camp and re- sponded by orchestrating the robbery.
Harden's lawyer, Rusty Hardin, said, "I am in Boston for depositions so I haven't seen the petition, but I have previously discussed Moses' allegations with James and others, and I am totally comfortable that the allegations are untrue," per
Carey. "Unfortunately, I am afraid this is just another ex- ample of people shopping for a deep pocket when they find that the people actually re- sponsible have no money."
Marla Carter of ABC 13 in Houston reported in July 2016 police charged four men with aggravated robbery with a deadly weapon from the in- cident. According to Carter, Malone, Jr. said he was robbed of $15,000 in jewelry.
Malone Jr.'s attorney, George Farah, said Mal- one, Jr.'s critical Facebook post of Harden "basically referenced the fact that James Harden was charg- ing $250 for a basketball camp," per Carter.
William Axford of the Houston Chronicle cited court documents in 2016 which said one of the attack- ers told Malone he "disre- spected James Harden and that he needs to be punished after that."
