Warrant Issued For Suspect In Early Morning Murder

The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office received a 9-1- 1 call Wednesday morning in reference to an act of violence in North Tampa. When deputies arrived at 1509 E. 128th Avenue, they discovered a dead man.
Police have identified the man as 37-year-old Khando Kerr, of that address. He suffered trauma to his upper body and died as a result of those injuries, police said.

U. S. District Judge Eliz- abeth A. Kovachevich sen- tenced Rida Saed to 1 year and 1 day in prison. The Court also ordered Saed to pay $51,838.91 in restitution to the Internal Revenue Service.
According to court docu- ments, Saed and his co-con- spirators processed debit
Brothers Market, in St. Pe- tersburg, knowing the cards contained funds from fraudu- lent income tax returns. Saed and his co-conspirators processed the cards using a third party credit processor that handled credit transac- tions for his business.
The men kept a portion of the proceeds for their services. They gave the majority of the money to the undercover offi- cers who brought the cards into the store for them to cash.
Man Charged With 1st Degree Murder Of Infant
Couple Sentenced To Prison For Armed Robbery
A 25-year-old man has been charged with the death of an infant, two months after her death. The child in his custody died on March 12, 2017.
According to the Tampa Police Department, shortly before 9 a.m., on March 7th, Tampa Fire Rescue and Tampa Police responded to the Garden View Hotel, 2500 E. Busch Blvd. They re- sponded to a report of an in- fant choking and not breathing.
The 8-month-old infant, identified as Zaynah Voss, was transported to Florida Hospital. She remained hos- pitalized until her death on March 12th.

Medical Examiner’s Office ruled after the autopsy that the infant died as a result of “multiple points of blunt im- pact to the head.” Her death was ruled a homicide.

who was the infant’s care- giver, and the person who called 9-1-1 at the time they arrived at the hotel. Investi- gators said McKinnley pro- vided a statement to officers, but was unable to explain the cause of the infant’s sudden medical emergency.
On May 12th, exactly two months after the infant died, Tampa Police charged McK- innley with first-degree mur- der and aggravated child abuse. Detectives located McKinnley at the Hillsbor- ough County Jail, where he was being held on several un- related charges. He has been in jail since April 14th, jail records show.

... Sentenced to 12 years, 9 months in prison
A federal judge sentenced a husband and wife to prison for an armed robbery. They both pleaded guilty to the charge on February 16, 2017.
According to court docu- ments, on July 9, 2016, a man and woman robbed the Mur- phy USA Gas Station in Wimauma and fled the scene with $11,948. Ten days later, the same couple attempted to rob the Murphy USA Gas Sta- tion in Gibsonton. However, they were not successful.
On July 23, 2016, the cou- ple returned to the same gas station in Wimauma and at- tempted to rob it for the sec- ond time. However, they were arrested before the robbery could take place.

U. S. District Judge Vir- ginia M. Hernandez Cov- ington sentenced Brown to 12 years and 9 months in prison for conspiracy and armed robbery. Ms. Nicholas was sentenced to 4 years and 9 months in prison for her role in the crime.
As part of their sentence, the Court also entered a money judgment for $11,948, which was taken during the robbery.
