PREFACE
Interactive digital flipbook titled 'Fun Indonesian Language:
Making Indonesian Language Learning Exciting' for Foreign Speakers
(BIPA) Level One A-1. This flipbook aims to provide level one BIPA
learning materials (A-1). The flipbook is developed based on the
analysis of the needs of BIPA instructors, level one BIPA learners, and
PPSDK BIPA A-1. It is expected that this development will add learning
references in Indonesian language learning using the TPACK and
communicative approaches, thereby enhancing comprehension and
practicing speaking skills of level one BIPA learners (A-1)
The presentation of materials in this e-book focuses on the
functional and practical needs of learners in communication goals
and situations. The discussion of teaching materials also covers
listening, reading, speaking, and writing. The understanding of
grammar and vocabulary is adjusted to the context of level one BIPA
learning (A-1). Similarly, cultural notes are adapted to norms,
etiquette, customs, and ethics, integrated with how Indonesian
society, especially Yogyakarta, is in daily life, and lastly, interesting
facts about Yogyakarta that provide engaging information for level
one BIPA learners (A-1). The development consists of seven learning
topics, each selected according to the learners' daily needs for
interaction in Indonesia.
Exercises will be provided at the end of each topic's material.
These exercises are essential as learners will be guided to
comprehend various practical real-life cases.
Thus, learners will acquire knowledge and skills that can be
applied in various specific situations and conditions.
With the completion of the flipbook, I would like to express my
utmost gratitude to Mr. Agus Soehardjono and Dr. Made Frida Yulia for
granting permission for research at Wisma Bahasa and Lembaga
Bahasa. Mr. Agung Siswanto M.Pd, who provided guidance throughout
