• The first quarter of 2025 in the Irish market had
slow growth on the back of a record year in 2024,
where we recorded a turnover of €17.5 million.
As the year progressed into the second and third
quarter, we had steady growth in the Irish market.
• In 2025, the number of residential housing
completions in Ireland will be in the region
of 32,000 units, leaving a shortfall again in
Government targets for new house completions.
It is estimated that in order to meet current
demand for new builds, we need 50,000 houses
per year over the next 20 years. The Ei146e
remains the dominant product in the Irish market,
with the Ei3016 and 650 IRFs being specified
by local authorities and housing associations for
refurbishments and upgrades.
• In January, Pat Byrne joined the Irish sales team
from CEF. Our activity with CPD Expert Installer
training with our mobile unit with wholesalers,
contactors and local authorities and ETBs
continues to run successfully across the country.
• With new competitors entering into the Irish
market in 2025, we aim to remain the dominant
brand in the market with our core products and
continuing to build awareness around our new
products and innovation.
• 2026 should provide further opportunities again
to grow in the market with announcements of
the government’s new housing plan to deliver
a higher number of new house completions and
renovations in 2026.

• 2025 will see the highest annual sales for Ei Electronics US ever, shipping
more than $20M with an astonishing 53% year-over-year growth over 2024!
• It is expected that we will ship $8M+ to the various JCI companies in 2025,
contributing to most of the growth in the US business.
• The new JCI business is a direct take away from Apollo and as long as our
quality remains high, we will be able maintain and grow our relationship for
many years to come.
• While the North American economy has slowed, our other customers continue
to remain strong, and we have seen very little loss year-over-year sales.
• In 2025, Ei Electronics hosted an international team from JCI in Shannon, JCI
attendees were from the US, Canada, Italy, Ireland, and the UK.
• In 2026 we will have completed all the Smoke and
Heat alarm variants for JCI. Currently, the estimated
completion date from Regulatory for the CO is sometime
in Q3 and we will start shipping finished goods in Q4 2026.
• We have a strong forecast and orders in place for 2026 and
expect to continue to grow in 2026.
• Smoke and CO Alarm legislation was passed in Poland
at the end of 2024. A smoke alarm is now compulsory in
new build houses and short-term accommodation from
June 2026, and all housing by 2030.
•
A carbon monoxide mandate was also included which
sees CO alarms in houses where a burning appliance is
present that is not a kitchen appliance.
•
As a result of this the Ei Electronics SP. z o. o. has been
reactivated.
•
Two people have been employed to begin working in the
Polish market.
•
Their role is to begin the work of developing a market
leadership position.
•
A key focus is networking with multiplicators to drive a
strong legal interpretation and user installation standard.
•
Some initial successes have been achieved.
-
Listing with Web market leader Allegro completed.
-
A General Purchasing Agreement with three major
meter readers has been signed.
•
Partnerships agreed with CNBOP (Test House), SITP,
OSP, and PZFD to drive a national “Trained Professional”
Programme – beginning January 2026.
•
A PR and marketing programme has been approved, and
the Polish website launch is planned for December.
•
Poland has the potential to be a significant market
opportunity, and it will be interesting to track
developments in 2026.

Outlook 2026
While the 10-year replacements continue, we are nearing the end of the cycle in 2026. Sales will likely decline – but we will continue to promote replacement
of end-of-life smoke alarms to the many Housing Associations who have not yet engaged.
