While the proposed customer program incorporates supplier development requirements and future supplier selection, there is also an operational focus need relating to the alignment with the customer supply chain. This enables the program to facilitate supplier performance and access to greater supply chain opportunities while at the same time providing the customer with a future supplier database related to the company specific industry sector.
1. Target Area: Core program design and delivery remains focused on ED and SD but also extends to the customer’s Supply Chain and Operational support areas.
2. Performance Requirement: The proposed customer program will ensure broader enterprise development and linking to the industry specific sector dynamics while the SD focus will be on supplier delivery and capabilities thereby improving the customer cost and quality control and local sourcing capabilities.
3. Core Framework: The proposed customer program elements ensure alignment and focus on Skills Development, cross functional program design and delivery of KPI’s.
4. Target Recipients: The proposed customer ED Program will focus on Tier 1 and Tier 2 Enterprises providing them with access to business development and planning while the SD program will target Tier 2 and Tier 1 (EME, QSE) Medium and Established Enterprises delivering growth management and operational support. The program will also target supply chain and operational benefits contributing to the customer’s customer delivery.
5. Economic Development: The proposed customer program remains committed to delivering in line with the B-BBEE and NDP objectives targeting broad economic development, new venture creation, supply chain integration for micro enterprises, commercial opportunities and the overall growth of black entrepreneurs.
