3) Site visits and final selection: Once it is decided that an ESD program will run the suppliers are selected and shortlisted site visits are conducted to analyse the suppliers existing compliance and operational performance. The supplier is also assessed against tooling, experience and expertise as determined by the criteria set for the specific suppliers (R2999 including detailed report and development plan)
4) Project and Fund Management: To support the ESD program we provide a holistic solution covering all aspects of managing and reporting on the program. We ensure contract management and audit compliance for both Customer and suppliers, project management aligned with Prince 2 standards, fund management for equipment or loans and monthly detailed reporting and tracking
A) Option A - Acceleration Phase: We have structured a three-tier solution that ensures the program can support suppliers of any size. The customised solutions are based on supplier specific gap analysis and development requirements extending in to a three-tiered development program. Tier 1 aimed at more mature enterprises typically QSE’s, Tier 2 aimed at mid-sized enterprises typically EME’s and Tier 3 aimed at a combination of non-supplier entities either EME or QSE’s. This tier is used to build possible supplier database by benchmarking and developing them in the ED phase in line with future strategic supplier requirements.
B) Option B - Online Value Builder System: This option enables the supplier to access the online supplier development portal linked to their benchmark results thereby enabling them to improve their operational performance and value. This option can be used in both ED and SD programs and serves as a platform for both EME and QSE’s
C) Option C – Specialised Enterprise Development Approach: that incorporates technology and incubator approaches to develop industry specific prototypes and technology. This option functions as a research and development initiative linked to the company's strategy and long-term sustainability
D) Option D – Community Development Program: This option precedes supplier selection ensuring inclusion from local community. Through a fixed curriculum the following Practical Workshops and Incubation Program the Community Engagement Program will be facilitated in each community and the customer property, to be attended by all aspiring, start-up and existing entrepreneurs in the local mining communities. These workshops have been developed to open the eyes of community members to possible opportunities missed in their daily lives. It also establishes a positive attitude and creates an entrepreneurial mindset.
E) Option E – Dedicated Consultant Development: Develop a team of industry specific, customer specific, supplier specific consultants that will be trained and certified to deliver ESD services.
