Individually, Wayne is an ex-chief of the Islip Fire Department, the first chairman of the board of the Hospice of the South Shore, past commander of the Great South Bay Power Squadron and a past president of the Islip Chamber of Commerce. Lois is on the board of trustees of the Islip Public Library. Both Lois and Wayne are members of the Bay Shore Lions Club. Eric is a two time Past President and board member of both the Rotary Club of Islip and the Islip Chamber of Commerce. He has served in the elected position of Commissioner of the Islip Fire District, as a former vestryman at St. Mark’s Episcopal Church, a board member of Southside Hospital, and serves on the Town of Islip’s Economic Development Commission. Nancy, Eric, Michael and Wayne are all Notaries Public, as well.

PA. Wayne Overton President (Retired)
Wayne is the son of the founder, Arthur W. Overton, and joined the firm in 1983. Wayne holds a BA in Psychology, an MS and Ed D. in Education. He is also a graduate of American Academy McAllister Institute of Funeral Service. Wayne was the first president of Hospice of the South Shore, a past president of the Islip Chamber of Commerce, ex- chief of the Islip Fire Department, past commander of the Great South Bay Power Squadron and a founding member of the Nassau-Suffolk Funeral Directors
Association. Wayne retired as Manager at the end of 2003.
Nancy V. Buehler Vice President
Nancy joined the firm in 1983 and serves as Vice President. She is the granddaughter of the founder and daughter of longtime previous manager, the late Fred L. Voss and the late Shirley Overton Voss. Nancy is responsible for accounting, payroll, record keeping, and correspondence. Nancy is a lifelong Islip resident and is a graduate of the Katherine Gibbs School. She enjoys scrapbooking, walking, and spending time with her granddaughter. Nancy is also one of four Notaries employed at the funeral home.
Eric S. Buehler Managing Director
Eric joined the firm fulltime in September 2001 and became manager upon Wayne’s retirement at the beginning of 2004. Eric is the son of Nancy, the grand nephew of Wayne, grandson of Fred, and great grandson of Arthur. He is a graduate of New York University and American Academy McAllister Institute of Funeral Service. Eric enjoys being active in the community, serving on the boards of the Rotary Club of Islip (twice as President), Islip Chamber of Commerce (Past President), the Islip Fire District (Commissioner), Town of Islip’s Economic Development Commission, and Northwell Health’s Southside Hospital. He lives with his family in Islip. Eric is an avid film buff, an aspiring screenwriter and enjoys to travel.
