   From the Executive Director
I can’t believe I’m writing this letter. It feels like graduation was only a few days ago! Where did summer go!!!
To our returning students, WELCOME BACK! I hope you are as excited as I am to begin another school year. This will be a year of no moves and no big events

like the 30th. However, it will be a year packed with performances, trips, college fair and more so GET READY!
To our new students, WELCOME TO THE FAMILY. You will have one of the best experiences ever! Now don’t get me wrong, every day may not be the best day of your life. There will be challenges and obstacles that you will have to overcome. However, the dedication, time and commitment you put into your studies will return to you in artistic development and growth.
Your journey will begin on Tuesday, September 4th. As in previous years, 1st shift students will meet in your departments (further information from your department chair will be emailed separately). During this first session, you will receive a school and
departmental handbook, 1st quarter schedule and more. No instruments or dance clothes are needed.
Second shift will report directly to the Roper Theatre for our opening day speeches and performances; 1st shift will walk to the Roper from your departmental meetings. This is probably my favorite part of our first day activities. This event will began at 2:15. At its conclusion, 2nd shift students will report to your departments and 1st shift will be released from the Roper by school district buses.
Continue to enjoy the next few days of summer vacation. I look forward to seeing all of you on September 4th.
Dr. Warren
