OPENING DAY- September 4, 2018
Opening Day at GSA is very exciting. Students will meet with their departments and come together at the Roper Theatre for a presentation of speakers and performances.
1:00 pm - (1st Shift - Norfolk, Portsmouth, Va Beach, Southampton)
Report to the Main Building at 254 Granby Street. Buses will drop you off in front of GSA. Here is where you will go - there will be students and
teachers to help you get there!
Dance- 3rd Floor Expansion, Studio 410
Instrumental Music- 3rd Floor Expansion, Miner Music Hall (formerly known as the Orchestra Hall)
Musical Theatre- 3rd Floor Main Building, Studio 317 Theatre & Film- 4th Floor Main Building, Room 410 Visual Arts- 5th Floor Main Building, Room
Vocal Music- 4th Floor Main Building, Room
2:10 pm - (2nd Shift - Chesapeake, Franklin, Isle of Wight, Suffolk) Report to the Roper Theatre, 340 Granby Street
2:10 pm - All students will walk to the Roper Theatre for our Opening day event The opening day consists of students speeches and
performances as well meeting the executive director and staff
4:00 pm- 2nd Shift Students will walk to the Main Building and meet with their departments (see listing above)
4:25 pm - buses depart for 1st shift students 5:25 pm - buses depart for 2nd shift students
