The reconstruction journey began on March 29th, 2024. I thought this would finally be the end of the surgeries. They used fat from my abdomen to recreate my breasts, but even that wasn’t enough. More surgeries followed, and as I sit here today, I know I’m not done yet. My next surgery is set for Christmas Eve, and while I’ve met my deductible for the year, it’s a small victory amidst this ongoing war. The fat grafting will continue, but as I told my doctor, I need balance— both physically and aesthetically.
