Good evening friends,

On behalf of the Detroit Wine Organization (DWO), we want to
welcome you to the 19th Annual Detroit Uncorked. This event is
special for so many reasons:

1). Partnering with The Rainbow Connection has been a
wonderful opportunity. They make an amazing impact on
children and their families fighting illness in Michigan. Since
1985, they have granted 4,173 wishes and assisted the families
impacted. Their success is based on a hardworking staff and
the strong support from the community.

2). We are excited to host at Jimmy John’s Field for the 4th
year. With changing plans due to COVID-19, the venue has
provided a wonderful outdoor option allowing Uncorked
to take place in a safe environment over the past several
years. They have been a true partner in planning this exciting
evening.

3). We are thankful for all our sponsors whose support makes
this event possible. You will find all our sponsors in this book. We
ask that you patronize them as a way of saying thank you for
supporting Detroit Uncorked.

4). Everyone here tonight, thank you for investing your hard
earned money and for your continued support. Your generosity
will go towards granting wishes to Michigan’s bravest children.

5). All the volunteers and amazing Restaurants who are giving
their time and talent to make this night a huge success. The
Detroit Wine Organization’s mantra is ‘Fun, Education and
Contribution’. Over the past 19 years, the DWO has raised
over 2 million dollars for local charities! I thank all the board
members and especially our Executive Director, Krista Lang for
their investment in the DWO.

Tonight, is my favorite night of the year. We get to sample and
learn about some incredible wines, bid on unique auction
items, meet new friends and give back to our community. We
hope you have a fantastic time and please make it home
safe!
