 Obituary
Charles Edward Evans (Chuck)
Was born in Watseka, Illinois on February 17th, 1999, to Henrietta Ford and Louis Evans. Charles accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior at an early age while attending Pray Bank M.B.C. Charles also attended Apostle House of Prayer in Kankakee, IL, under the lead- ership of Pastor Claudius C. Anderson, where he was baptized and sang in the children’s choir.
Charles was raised in Hopkins Park, IL before moving to Kankakee, IL. At the age of eight, Charles would relocate to Chicago, IL to live with his aunt Marion Fitzgerald. Charles attended McKay Elementary school and Urban Prep Charter Academy.
Charles was a loving, caring, and devoted father, son, brother, uncle, nephew, and cousin to his many family members and friends. Charles had an old soul, and was what many would refer to as “a gentle giant,” which caused many in his family to refer to him by nicknames such as, “Old Man,” “Preacher,” or simply Chuck. He was a leader amongst his peers. Always loyal and dedicated to the people who loved him and to the people he loved. Charles loved to write poetry and raps, and dreamed of a career in the music in- dustry. Charles was very affectionate and always had a hug and “I love you” every time you saw him. Charles possessed a light that never dimmed despite some of the things he faced. Charles will be missed and forever loved by all who knew him.
Charles is preceeded in death by his father (Louis Evans), sister (Vanessa Evans), two uncles: (Floyd Ivory and Jerome Fitzgerald), grandmother (Ella Fitzgerald), grandfather (Henry Fitzgerald), and two cousins (Cedric Johnson and Lynell Johnson).
Charles leaves to cherish his memory his son Marshawn Evans (Delana); mother: Henrietta Ford; four sisters: Alicia Fitzgerald, Latoya Davis, Georgetta Bundley, and Sha- ka Ford; three brothers: Darnell Bonner, Michael Davis, and Jonathan Bundley; three aunts: Joberta Johnson, Yvonne Franklin (Lawrence), and Marion Fitzgerald; two uncles: Vern Fitzgerald and Leo Johnson; two God-brothers: Nijee Seger, and Cicero Tate; as well as a multitude of nieces, nephews, cousins, and numerous friends and honorary family members.
