BLAKE’S BIO
I am Blake Spencer, a graduate of Grand Blanc High School. I will be attending Howard University in the fall of 2020, majoring in Business Management with a concentration in Fashion Design. I was an AP Capstone Candidate for 2 years, while simultaneously being an AP Scholar. While excelling in academics, I have also been blessed to be a part of MAC Scholars as a leader, Alpha Esquires as Secretary, a state recognized & district winning Quiz Bowl team, NAACP ACT-SO Program as a local gold medalist, contestant and youth branch member, and the owner of my co-founded group, Bird n Brush.
Recent community service projects included Flint Clean up Project hosted by SYI, North End Food Kitchen Catholic Charities sorting, GCCARD Walk for Warmth project, and other minor projects and workshops hosted by the MAC Scholars program. My Mother and my Father, Kenji Montoria and Trina Spencer have raised me to be who I am. Some- thing that I always will stay true to is to refrain from judgement and always advocate for someone that may not look like me, or be like me. Advocating equality for someone equal- ly, or more oppressed than I am is something that I’ll always keep close me.
