IMPLEMENT A COLLEGE-WIDE STUDENT MENTORING PROGRAM BY APRIL 1, 2020
STRETCH: November 1, 2019
The President will provide resources where appropriate and required.
The President will stay abreast of and evaluate pertinent national and local trends and high impact practices for information and decision-making.
The President’s Office will provide mentoring resources for program sustainability.
Finance & Administration will provide mentoring resources for program sustainability.
A mentoring alliance will be established within the Mott Student Success Team.
Public Safety will provide information on law enforcement opportunities at MCC to encourage students to apply.
Information Technology Services will integrate a mentoring option into the MyCompass system.
Host on-campus speed mentoring events for Mott students to interact with community members from various fields and backgrounds.
Offer the WIE program as a technical support program on a consulting basis.
The President will monitor completion of the strategic
goal on a monthly basis and stakeholder perception annually.
The President will monitor current trends and best practices on a monthly basis.
At least 80% of staff reporting to the President will participate as mentors.
At least three Finance & Administration staff will participate as mentors.
Existing mentoring and honor society programs will be aligned and scaled within the College- wide mentoring program.
Digital badge mentoring activities will be established.
Public Safety will identify 6-10 mentors to work with students on campus in the College- wide mentoring program.
All mentoring technology components are implemented as identified by area supervisor.
Host two speed mentoring events per academic year.
Provide consulting/technical skills assistance to MCC departments involved in creating a College-Wide mentoring program and make at least 2 presentations per semester.
