 The President will provide resources where appropriate and required.
The President will stay abreast of and evaluate pertinent national and local trends and high impact practices for information and decision-making.
An early alert communication plan within the student engagement system will be developed.
Institutional Research and Decision Support will coordinate data collection of the number of students receiving tutorial services.
Institutional Research and Decision Support will review the relationship between tutoring participation and final grades.
Create mini-tutorials in a variety of academic topics to publish on social media addressing common tutoring issues/questions; e.g. How to solve a common math problem. Included would be info on where to get more in depth help on campus, such as the Math Empowerment Center.
Academic Affairs will promote tutoring services for students
via email, Infochannel, Faculty announcements, and MyCompass.
Academic Affairs will create a tutoring hub in the Curtice-Mott Complex with joint training and student referrals.
The President will monitor completion of the strategic
goal on a monthly basis and stakeholder perception annually.
The President will monitor current trends and best practices on a monthly basis.
Tutoring participation for developmental education students will increase by 10%.
Tutoring participation for gateway course students will increase by 5%.
An electronic process to track tutoring participation across the College is developed.
A semester report providing statistical relationship between tutoring and final grade distributions will be developed.
5% of students will access the tutorials each semester student usage of academic support services such as Math and Writing Centers.
