On the way, we will visit the magnificent Roman Aqueduct at Segovia and Philip the
second’s palace at El Escorial and perhaps El Valle de los Caídos - Valley of the Fallen.
Franco’s monument to the Spanish Civil War (and himself).
He has recently been removed.
The Roman aqueduct at Segovia, built 100 AD, was still
carrying water in 1986. El Escorial. Philip II laid the corner stone in 1563.
