How your health plan works
Blue Preferred Plus
This plan covers services from doctors in your plan. You’ll need
to choose a main doctor, also called a primary care doctor,
from the Point of Service (POS) plan. If you need a specialist,
you’ll most likely have to go through your primary care doctor
to get a referral. If you pay a little more, you can also get care
outside of the POS plan.
Some POS plans may have different rules. So be sure to check
your plan details.
The doctors, hospitals and other health care
providers in your plan have agreed to charge
lower rates for our members.
