Professor Lin received his M.D. education at Taipei Medical University and
specialty training at Internal Medicine, Gastroenterology and Hepatology in
Chang Gung Memorial Hospital, Linkou Medical Center. Thereafter, Professor
Lin was continuing his immunology research under the supervision of Professor
Herman Waldmann and was subsequently awarded PhD degree by the Oxford
University. He had been the vice chief of medical school of Chang Gung
University, deputy chief of department of medical research and head of
department of hepatology, Chang Gung Memorial Hospital, Linkou branch. He
also had served as the secretary general of Gastroenterology Society of Taiwan,
secretary general of Taiwan Association of Study of Liver and as secretary
general and vice secretary general of several Asian-Pacific international
conferences. At the same time, he also leads a lab that covers both clinical and
basic researches. Professor Lin’s research interests focus on the both
immunological and clinical aspects of hepatitis, liver cirrhosis and hepatoma. He
serves as a reviewer for many international journals including Science
Immunology, Journal of Experimental Medicine, Hepatology, Journal of
Hepatology and so on. He also had served as associated chief editor of Advances
in Digestive Medicine and editor of hepatoma research and PlosONe. He has
published more than one hundred research articles in high-ranking journals
including Nature Immunology, Cancer Research, Clinical Cancer Research,
Oncoimmunology, Scientific Reports, Journal of Immunology, Journal of
Hepatology, American Journal of Gastroenterology and so on.
