Rule 2: The Present continuous Tense

We use it for actions happening now, at the time of speaking

Affirmative Examples
I am (‘m) + v - ing -I am eating pizza
He
She + is (‘s) + v – ing -He is drinking milk
It -She is watching TV.
-It is sleeping on the chair.
We -We are jumping.
They + are (‘re) + v - ing -They are walking.

Interrogative Examples

Is + she + v-ing….? A:Is she/he cooking?
it B:Yes, he/she is.
B:No, he/she isn't.
Are + you + v-ing….? A:Is it sleeping?
they B:Yes, it is. / No, it isn’t.
A:Are you making a cake?
B:Yes, I am. / No, I am not.
A:Are they washing the car?
B:Yes, they are. / No, they aren't.
