the lack of courage
for purification
I confess that I am usually closed off in my shell!
That I usually view with apathy the serious mistakes
made in Worship,
mistakes in the language the CHURCH uses to speak
to the world,
mistakes in the way I treat my Parishioners!
And yet I do not resist;
I do not try to correct the mistakes,
I do not offer the insights of my spiritual guides,
which illuminate things,
because something very selfish holds me back.
The selfish thing is that I do not dare to strive for my
own personal purification.
As a result, I do not dare to speak about purification,
about the purification of the Church—
to the fathers and Bishops of the Church!
I do not dare to address “the wrongs.”
