Chapter 15 (399) GOSPEL OF MARK
fulfilled, which says, “He was numbered with transgressors.” Those who passed by blasphemed him, shaking their heads and saying, “So! You who would destroy the sanctuary and rebuild it in three days, save yourself now and come down from the cross!” In the same way, the chief priests also, along with the scribes, were mocking him among themselves and saying, “He saved others! He cannot save himself! Let the Christ, the King of Israel, now come down from the cross, so that we may see and believe him.”

When the sixth hour came, there was darkness over the whole land until the ninth hour.
