Chapter 17 (823) GOSPEL OF JOHN
    *
I have given them your word and the world has hated them because they are not of the world, even as I am not of the world. I do not pray that you would take them from the world but that you would protect them from the evil one. They are not of the world, even as I am not of the world. Sanctify them in your truth; your word is truth!

I do not pray only for these, but also for those who will believe in me through their word, so that they may all be one, even as you, Father, are in me, and I in you. May they be one in us, so that the world may believe that you sent me. The glory which you have given me, I have given to them, so that they may be one even as we are one; I in them, and you in me. May they be perfected into one, so that the world may know that you sent me, and (that you have) loved them, even as you have loved me. Fa- ther, I desire that those whom you have given me would be with me where I am, so that they may see my glory which you have given me, for you loved me before the foundation of the world. Righteous
