The Crown Knot
The crown knot, the reverse of the wall knot (page 40), is often put on top
of a wall; together they form an excellent stopper knot. The crown is
formed by pulling each strand down through the bight of the next strand,
and ends with the strands pointing downward. The crown is also used by
itself to start a backsplice, or with a series of crowns to make a
decorative braidwork called a crown sennit.
