The Health & Safety Executi ve (HSE) advise that arrangements should be made to help
minimise risks from snow and ice, products within this secti on can help to do that.
Preparati on is important during the winter months; it’s handy to have a grit bin around just
in case. In order to help prepare and be aware it’s a good idea to keep an eye on the weather
forecast. It’s important that you keep walkways clear and safe for pedestrians to walk on.
Most common method of de-icing fl oors is by using grit/salt as it’s quick, cheap and easy to do.
Using grit/salt can stop ice from forming and cause existi ng snow or ice to melt.
