Let’s get Personal…

Carefully examine the culture in which you serve and live. In what ways are Christians
inappropriately acquiescing to culture when they gather together? Consider ways to help your
congregation acknowledge and grow in these areas. God never condemns the rich for wealth.
The Bible says He gives it. He then tells them not to Lord it over or oppress others. The rich
should not get preferential treatment in the congregation. Be careful not to go overboard and
not respect elders and those in positions of respect; one can show honor without showing
favoritism.
