Activity: When Jesus took his disciples to Banias, he asked them to testify that they believed He was the
Messiah, the Son of God. In doing so, he foretold of the church to come and informed his disciples that
the “gates of Hell shall not prevail against it.” Jesus promised that the church would survive even the
fiercest attacks from Satan, and it has through the centuries. The church is the body of Christ. It is all
believers. And Satan has no power to control God’s children. He tries to disrupt our local churches, but
he has no power to take away our faith in Christ.

Do you have any problems in your local church of believers? Sometimes, some people get out of
fellowship with Christ, which can cause problems among the believers. List some of the concerns you
have about your local church:

God can resolve these problems, one way or another. Let’s trust Him now in prayer and give them to
Him.
