Islam in the Near East

Did you know that Islam is the second-largest religious group in the world? There are over 1.8 billion
people who worship Allah, or about 25 percent of the world’s population. 91% of those people who live
in the Middle East and North Africa are Muslims.

A Muslim country borders every boundary. To the South are Egypt and Saudi Arabia. Jordan is located
to the east. To the north are Lebanon and Syria. Almost all of these countries have attacked Israel in
the past, and desire to “wipe Israel off the map.” It is a miracle that Israel has been able to beat off all
the attacks and remain a free country today. God has His hand on Israel!
