Let’s get Personal…
Activity: En Gedi is an amazing place. The hills around the Dead Sea are totally barren of vegetation. It
is a desert place. Yet, out of the rock in En Gedi flows a spring of water, and it cascades down several
waterfalls before emptying into the Dead Sea. It was here that David found refuge from Saul. It was
here that David found peace in the Lord. It was here that God provided for all that David needed. All
David had to do was go to the place of refuge.
We have the same God as David. He provides for us a place of refuge daily. We can rest in the comfort
of His care, knowing and trusting that He will meet our needs. Take a moment to thank Him for His
wonderful, loving care. Perhaps you could gather your family together to think about all He has
provided and thank Him collectively.
