Many people underestimate the beauty of Atlanta. With a population of a little under 500,000
residents, Atlanta is rich in culture, music and fine cuisine. The city played an integral part in both
the civil war and the 1960’s civil rights movement and is the birthplace of many monumental
figures who have helped shape the history of the United States of America.

1 Atlanta is the birthplace of Coca-Cola
Home to the world’s most popular soda
Coca-Cola was originated in 1886 by an Atlanta pharmacist John S. Pemberton.
His bookkeeper, Frank Robinson chose the name for the drink that became the Coca-
Cola trademark. The trademark Coca-Cola was registered at the U.S. Patent Office in
1893.
