M ost obviously, travelling during holidays and special days will mean that you have

to part with a lot more money. When travelling, plan to travel on low seasons.
For instance, you don’t have to travel to Mombasa in December, Easter or on
Valentine’s day everything is so expensive during these seasons.
With places like Mombasa, I realized that between March to May is the best time

to plan your travel. This time, prices have gone down and all the holiday hype
has died down. And not to mention that there will not be a lot of people which
for me never works. You don’t have to stay at the most expensive hotel if you are
on a budget, there are very good hotels and cottages that don’t charge crazy

prices. Try to book in advance, this has its own advantages as most hotels and
places o er a discount for those who book earlier. use public transport when
travelling between places.
When doing cottages this will easy your budget as you can cook your own meal

and enjoy and avoid those crazy hotel bills. For those who prefer camping, you
can carry your own tents, beddings, food and cooking stu s, what yoy will pay is
only camping ground which mostly are not more than $10. Before camping
check online reviews about the camp site.
