The governorate holds several festivals, most important of

which are: the Annual Spring Carnival, the International

Folklore Festival in which different countries display

civilizations and traditions of their peoples, in addition to the

Experimental Theatre Festival, as well as Horses Annual Race.

Location:

Ismailia governorate is bordered in the East by North Sinai

governorate, in the West by Sharkeya governorate, in the

South by Suez governorate, and by Port Said in the North.

The Governorate's national day:

25th January marking the unity of people with Police forces

against the British occupation in 1951.

Emblem:

It comprises three colours: the blue which refers to the Suez

Canal, the green which represents agriculture, the yellow

which refers to the desert, and the vulture which symbolizes

the Republic's flag.
