The POE Unified House Council will serve as the governing body for the House system. The

council is comprised of four upper classmates (grade 5), House Leaders and four House

Representatives (grade 3 & 4 ), with equal representation from each house. House Leaders and
Representatives will be elected annually by their respective house members. Each house will be

represented by one faculty/staff sponsor. House Sponsors are appointed by Administration and

will serve a one-year term. The House Leaders, House Representatives, House Sponsor and

Administration, will serve as the Port Orange Elementary Unified House Council.

The POE Unified House Council will plan and facilitate all house initiatives and activities to

include an annual service project from each house. Other house activities will include but are not

limited to the following:

• Fundraisers

• Community Service

• Team Building

• The House Games
