Extension services are provided by the college and/or program
in response to the needs and urgent concerns of the community it

serves.

The Faculty members of IPAG are heavily engaged in
programs/projects that are intended to assist local governments,
which are in line with the University’s Extension Thrust and Direction
LGU Extension Capability Strengthening Program.

The LGU Extension Delivery Capacity Building Program is
designed to improve the delivery services and increase manpower
resource productivity of the LGUs towards good governance. It
focuses on enhancing the capability of the LGUs through the

provision of degree and non-degree training, technical assistance and
consultancy services. This program involves establishing a good
working relationship with LGUs at the provincial, municipal and
barangay levels.

These services are in the forms of degree and non-degree
training, technical assistance, the establishment of demonstration

projects cum research activities, monitoring and evaluation of LGU
extension projects and information support services. These are being
made more effective through the use of tri-media. LGU Extension
Capability Strengthening Program of the Institute of Public
Administration and Governance had been implemented through

various modalities and special programs such as:

2. Sangguniang Kabataan Mandatory Training
3. Technical Assistance – Research on Valuation on LGUs’
Emergency Measures in times of Natural and Human- induced
Disasters: A Citizen’s Perspective
4. Capability Program for Barangay Officials
