Increasing International Presence thru Partnerships, Student
Mobility, and Conventions
The University in 2019 further established partnerships with prestigious
institutions abroad. These partnerships are focused on joint R&D, exchange
of students and faculty, joint publications and conferences and sharing of
scientific materials. At present, the University has active partnership with
universities and R&D institutions in South-East Asian (SEA), other Asian
countries, and Europe. Some collaborating partners are the following:

These partnerships have allowed ISU’s students to conduct their internship
abroad. In the course of 2019, the University was able to send 66 students to
learn from these prominent institutions and be able to return home profes-
sionally groomed to seed insights in support of local industry advancement.
As a fair recognition of ISU’s standing as a leading Research University, it
convened and hosted some prestigious international conferences and meet-
ing over the course of time. In 2019, it hosted two grand conferences: (1)
International Training workshop on Integrated Water Resources Manage-
ment in River Basins (2) International Seminar-Workshop on Flood and
Sediment Management in River Basin for Sustainable Development.
