Meet Dr. Castleberry
Dr. Jessica Castleberry has 6 years of practice experience in general obstetrics and gynecology,
and multiple years of volunteer experience with the Macon Volunteer Clinic where she provided gynecologic care for uninsured women. Dr. Castleberry earned her bachelor’s degree from the University of Georgia. She earned her Doctor of Medicine at the Medical College of Georgia and completed her residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Georgia Regents University in Augusta, Ga.
Dr. Castleberry is board certified and a fellow with the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology. She most recently practiced at Associates in Obstetrics and Gynecology in Dalton, Ga.
Dr. Castleberry is excited to be a part of the Upson community with her husband Kyle and two dogs, Bear and Fiona.
“I’m excited to get to know the Thomaston community and to advance the pertinent issues of women’s health today,” said Castleberry.

AQ. Why did you decide to become a doctor? Dr. Castleberry: Growing up, I liked problem solving and figuring out which small piece of information solved a puzzle or a riddle.
Q. What made you decide on the OB specialty?
Dr. Castleberry: I enjoy both the narrowness and breadth of the specialty, the office component, as well as the surgery. I like how it is both short and long term. I also enjoy the variety.
Q. What made you choose URMC?
Dr. Castleberry: Since I started, everyone from the volunteers to the staff have been warm and welcoming. I have also been incredibly impressed with the expertise and professionalism of every staff member I have encountered.
Q. What advice do you have for future OB/GYNs?
Dr. Castleberry: Go watch every procedure and surgical case you can!
Q. What do you enjoy doing with your free time?
Dr. Castleberry: Traveling and listening to live music.
