the aruhe, they went into

a rage and threw

Kanawa overboard.

But it was too late, the

gods were angry and the

waka was broken

in a storm.

Paoa went inland to look

for timber to fix the waka.

Kiwa and Hinehakirirangi

made some repairs

and sailed on around

the coast.
