Course Layout & Unique Features

Meru Valley’s 27-hole championship course is elegantly divided into three
distinctive nines — Valley, Waterfall, and River — each offering a distinct
character and challenge. The Valley Nine is defined by its iconic Hole
6, where two alternate greens are revealed only on tournament days,
heightening the excitement. On the Waterfall Nine, Hole 11 tests precision
with its dog-leg fairway, flanked by a river and guarded by pristine white
bunkers. The River Nine reaches its crescendo at Hole 26, demanding a
daring carry over a former tin-mining lake towards an elevated green with
spectacular views.

Events & Tournaments

Over the decades, Meru Valley Golf Resort has cemented its reputation
as a premier tournament venue, hosting prestigious events such as
the Perak Masters and the Perak Amateur Open. The course has also
welcomed a wide range of competitions, including the long-standing UM–
NUS Golf Tournament as well as corporate championships sponsored by
Maybank and Maxis. Together, these events have not only showcased the
resort’s championship-calibre course but also strengthened its role as a
hub of competitive spirit and community tradition.
Awards & Recognition

The excellence of Meru Valley Golf Resort has been acknowledged with
numerous accolades on both national and international stages. In 2008, it
was awarded Best Golf Development Malaysia at the CNBC International
Property Awards, followed in 2009 by the Premier Award from Tourism
Malaysia. The resort continued its rise with a Highly Commended title
at the Asia Pacific Property Awards in 2014, and in 2017, its innovative
EcoVillage project received the Leisure Development Award. The
recognition reached new heights in 2018 when Meru Valley achieved a
double triumph at the Asia Lifestyle Tourism Awards, named both Best
