“Pinchas son of Elazar son of Aharon the # 18 bamidbar
Kohen, turned back My wrath from upon the

Children of Israel, when he zealously avenged
My vengeance among them, so I did not
consume the Children of Israel in My
vengeance”
(Bamidbar 25:11)

Hashem added the letter to the name of Pinchas, proof that his deeds
were for Hashem’s sake.
One has the ability to perform for Hashem’s sake alone when he has no
other interests.
It is impossible to love Hashem completely, while exhibiting love toward
other things.
